Merry Christmas !!!!
It's been a long time since I've blogged, just have been real busy doing the CSI thing and venturing on another path with nursing (working as a Forensic Nurse Examiner part-time), not to mention completing a DNA course. Looking forward to next year as I am officially accepted into the Masters program at UF, so hopefully, by the end of 2008, I'll have received my M.S. in Forensic Sciences. Am almost thinking of coupling this with an M.S. in Drug Chemistry as several classes overlap, but I have a feeling I'm going to be a bit burned out by the end of next year and will need a break from it all.
I'm happy to enjoy a day off from both jobs. Hey, any Knights in Shining Armor willing to take me away from all of this, LOL? Just kidding...but it would be nice to focus on a family for once instead of the career thing. Maybe one day this will happen, we'll see!
You're probably wondering, how come she's not saying squat about the iPhone here? Okay, I'll satisfy your curiosity...just saw the T.V. commercial for the Verizon Voyager. I had to Google it and watched a couple of YouTube videos on it. Watch out Apple...this may very well be one of your best competitors to date. I wonder two things about the Voyager...can you watch YouTube on it (I love this on the iPhone) and how good is the screen resolution for photo viewing? I am still pretty happy with the iPhone but continue to be very disappointed with the virtual keyboard. I just do_not_like_it. No way. Need a REAL keyboard and then I'll be more than happy with this phone. Apple? Also, another disappointment with the iPhone - there are several emails that I cannot receive the full benefit of, as in the iPhone is not capable of opening up anything in the "MIME" format. For those of you who don't know, the "mime" format is incredibly commonly used in emails and stands for "Mulitpurpose Internet Mail Extensions". I read that the Voyager can read email in any format imagineable. Not sure when the Voyager comes out. As soon as I can critique it in person with my own two hands, if I like it, I just might 'dis my iPhone. Am real tired of not being able to read emails on the go, having to wait until I'm back in front of a computer to do so - which, duh, entirely defeats the purpose of having email availability on the cell phone to begin with (I know...run on sentence here, oh well) and really tired of hitting wrong keys with the stupid, retarded virtual keyboard. Did you hear that? Steve, are you listening? You never know what 2008 will bring.
Merry Christmas ~ Happy Holidays ~ Happy New Year's to all!
May your family and loved ones be blessed with happiness and safety this season and in the year to come.
